Who Can Attend?

The Obscura Awards are open to filmmakers, festival guests, industry professionals, friends, family members, and members of the public who purchase an awards ticket.

​

A filmmaker badge does not include admission to the Obscura Awards Ceremony.

​

Attendance is optional, but a separate ticket is required to enter the event.

​

Because the venue has limited capacity, advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended.

​

Do I Need to Attend to Win?

​

No.

​

A filmmaker does not need to attend the ceremony to remain eligible for an award.

​

However, filmmakers who attend will have the opportunity to experience the announcement live, celebrate with the festival community, take official photographs, and receive their recognition in person.

​

Awards and results will not be disclosed before the ceremony.
