Los Angeles FANTASY Fest 2026

A two-day celebration of Animation, Horror & Sci-Fi in Los Angeles.
This year’s edition brings together filmmakers and audiences for two unforgettable days of animation, horror, and sci-fi cinema.
Our festival is divided into two sections:

LIVE - For filmmakers who have confirmed their attendance at the festival in Los Angeles.
Enjoy in-person screenings, filmmaker Q&As, networking opportunities, and the official Award Ceremony at Skiptown Playhouse.

ONLINE: Your film will screen in our secure digital platform, accessible worldwide, giving international audiences the opportunity to experience your work and vote for the Online Audience Award.
ONLINE – For filmmakers who cannot attend the festival in Los Angeles - Nov 19-21, 2026. Online Screening End Time: All online screenings will conclude on November 21, 2026 at 6:00 PM Pacific Time (PT). After this time, the Online Edition will close and access will no longer be available.

Thursday, November 19 – Meet & Greet (Pre-Festival Night)

Join us for an informal Meet & Greet the night before the festival officially begins and Get YOUR BADGE too, Most of the Los Angeles Fantasy Fest team — around eight of us — will be there in full force. It’s a relaxed evening for filmmakers, guests, and local creatives to connect, grab a drink, and set the mood for two thrilling days of animation, horror, and sci-fi.

Obscura Awards 2026
The Obscura Awards honor the boldest voices and most imaginative visions in animation, horror, sci-fi, thriller, and suspense. Presented annually at Los Angeles Fantasia Fest, these awards celebrate outstanding storytelling, technical excellence, and genre-defying creativity in both short and feature films, as well as unproduced scripts.

Celebrate the conclusion of Los Angeles Fantasia Fest 2026 right after the Award Ceremony.
